Aindra Prabhu was a disciple of Srila Prabhupada and was in charge of the Twenty four-hour kirtan at ISKCON Krishna Balaram Mandir as ordained by Srila Prabhupada. His sincere devotion and commitment generated pure spiritual atmosphere in the temple and strengthened perfect devotion in the minds of all visitors of this holy abode of Lord.
Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare
Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare
H.G. Aindra Prabhu received Harinama-diksha in 1973 from A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada in Washington D.C. For many years he served as a puiari at the temple and regularly engaged in harinama-sankirtana and book distribution. After several visits to Vrindavan Dhama, he was inspired to revitalise the 24 hour kirtana which was originally started in 1975 at the Krishna Balaram Mandir. In 1986, Aindra Prabhu arrived at Vrindavan to live here permanently and since then he coordinated and led the 24 hour kirtana and his wonderful devotional kirtana records spread and far and wide the ethos of joy in the hearts of many devotees.

Gundica Marjana - Saturday 10th July 2010
Meeting at the temple at 10:00am
The day before Ratha-yatra is celebrated as Gundica-marjana, the cleansing of the Gundica temple. At Jagannatha Puri, days before the Ratha-yatra celebration, devotees thoroughly wash the Gundica temple located three kilometers northeast of the Jagannatha temple. This is where the Lord Jagannatha stays for one week at the time of the Ratha-yatra celebrations.
Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu would personally clean the Gundica temple along with hundreds of devotees. The Lord did this just to instruct others. While He cleaned the temple in great jubilation, He chanted the Hare Krishna mantra. When the Gundica temple was thoroughly cleansed, it became very purified, cool and pleasing, just as if the Lord’s own mind appeared there. Indeed, after everything had been washed, the minds of the devotees were as clean as the rooms.
By enacting this pastime of cleaning the Gundica temple, Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu instructed us on how we should receive Lord Krishna within our heart. If we desire to see Krishna seated within our hearts, we must first of all purify our hearts fully and prepare to receive His lotus feet.
At New Govardhana the main temple shall be completely cleaned by the devotees. Men, women and children can all participate with great enthusiasm, preparing with great hope, to receive the Lord into their hearts by cleaning the Lord’s temple.
On Saturday 10th July lets all chant the holy names of the Lord, sing and in great jubilation perform Gundica-marjana.
