Memorial Service for HG Aindra Prabhu - Thursday 22nd July

Submitted by admin on Mon, 07/19/2010 - 11:51

This Thursday the 22nd of July at 4:30pm, ISKCON New Govardhana will host a memorial service for His Grace Aindra Prabhu who passed away recently in Vrindavana, India.

Program:

- bhajans
- readings & remembrances
- pushpangali
- Gaura Arati
- prasadam

Aindra Prabhu was a disciple of Srila Prabhupada and was in charge of the Twenty four-hour kirtan at ISKCON Krishna Balaram Mandir as ordained by Srila Prabhupada. His sincere devotion and commitment generated pure spiritual atmosphere in the temple and strengthened perfect devotion in the minds of all visitors of this holy abode of Lord.

Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare
Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare

H.G. Aindra Prabhu received Harinama-diksha in 1973 from A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada in Washington D.C. For many years he served as a puiari at the temple and regularly engaged in harinama-sankirtana and book distribution. After several visits to Vrindavan Dhama, he was inspired to revitalise the 24 hour kirtana which was originally started in 1975 at the Krishna Balaram Mandir. In 1986, Aindra Prabhu arrived at Vrindavan to live here permanently and since then he coordinated and led the 24 hour kirtana and his wonderful devotional kirtana records spread and far and wide the ethos of joy in the hearts of many devotees.
